Stained Glass Firefly

On breast of mars the goddess sighed

Your soul doesn’t care what you do for a living - and when your life is over, neither will you. Your soul cares only about what you are being while you are doing whatever you are doing.

Did you know that this scene was entirely unscripted? Johnny Depp just kinda went with this and no one stopped him, so the reactions’ on the other actors’ faces are their actual reactions to Depp’s shenanigans.

you can even see orlando glancing at the people behind the camera as if asking what is going on

Claude Monet, A Seascape, Shipping by Moonlight (1864)
“The bold light effects of the moonlit harbour of Honfleur, Normandy contribute to the scene’s dramatic impact. Dark clouds obscure the moon but its presence is confirmed by the brilliant patches of light and reflections in the water. These are echoed by the lighthouse’s beam and its reflection. The sailing boats and steam ship provide strong dark silhouettes against the elements. This is an early work by Monet, painted with an unusual combination of palette knife and brush. He commented later on his admiration for moonlight scenes but also on the difficulties involved in painting nature at night.” -
BLAH BLAH BLAH why is it that when i smudge paint on a canvas, it looks like SMUDGED PAINT and when monet smudges paint its all OMG BRILLIANT PATCHES OF LIGHT AND SAILING BOATS

are you enjoying the present?

No. Because I’m BORED. I feel like a bird picking out its feathers because there is nothing else to do. I miss kayaking and surfing and following railroad tracks and playing hide and seek in graveyards. I miss making videos about NOTHING with people who mean EVERYTHING. I miss finding elevators and not hazing and a stained glass window. I miss drinking and fish tacos and laughing while studying because Ibsen’s plays are amazing. I miss tailgating, chapter meetings, retreats… I even miss the people I HATED!!!! I miss the strawberry festival and feeding cows and harry potter parties. I miss glittery eyeshadow and doing the ‘snuggie’ and early morning farmers markets.

most of all i miss feeling like i’m not in a cage.

i hate math tests because all throughout the chapter it’s like really easy shit and then you think you’ve got it and then the test is like

if i throw a triangle out of a car and the car is going 20 mph and wind resistance is a thing that exists, how many cupcakes can pedro buy with one human soul

I’ve never seen a more accurate post explaining math tests

Okay, so I just found out that Archer has an unaired “original pilot” where they replaced Archer…with A FUCKING RAPTOR. The episode has the exact same plot as the first episode, but he’s a raptor. He doesn’t talk, he just makes raptor noises throughout the episode. It just might be singlehandedly best thing I’ve ever seen.

Edit: Since some of you reblogging this have mentioned finding it, you can see it here
